Vio MultiView Tracks Incoming Jobs from Multiple Sources

The newest addition to Vio's Digital Workflow Suite is MultiView, which enables graphics production managers to track and manage incoming jobs from multiple sources.

MutiView monitors application boxes from various sources such as FTP sites, ISDN, other file transfer solutions, pre-or post-flight applications, or any other folder-based application service. The system tracks new jobs, assigning a job ID to each and sending automatic email notification with a JDF-compliant job ticket.

According to Vio, MultiView gives users instant access to critical metadata for all in-process jobs at any given time. By access job tickets for all jobs placed in the monitored folders, MultiView users can get information about the sender, lists of folders and files submitted with each job, and the application in which each file resides.

“Operators can monitor the progress of jobs from one workstation without having to get up and move from workstation to workstation,” says Alan Darling, executive vice president of Vio.
