Wasatch Computer Technology has
announced a Variable Data Printing
(VDP) Option for its Wasatch SoftRIP
product. The option allows users to customize
print jobs from within the RIP by
starting with any of the background
graphics supported by Wasatch SoftRIP,
and using layout data fields to automatically
set, scale, and justify type. In
Wasatch VDP, users set type with
Wasatch fonts, barcode fonts, or any
TrueType font on their system. They can
also create decorative effects such as
drop shadows or outlines. Users may
import data in Microsoft Excel format or
from any database that exports delimited
ASCII text files.

Also included in Wasatch VDP are
capabilities to assign different logos or
graphics to every print using the integrated
database tool”?helpful for items
such as sportswear, posters, advertisements,
full-color labels, and dye-sublimation
promotional items. (Wasatch Computer Technology: www.wasatchinc.com)
