Ultimaker Launches Extrusion Upgrade Kit for the Ultimaker 2 and Ultimaker 2 Extended at 2016 SXSW Interactive

Ultimaker, an open source 3D printer manufacturer, is launching a new Extrusion upgrade kit for their previous models Ultimaker 2 and Ultimaker 2 Extended 3D printers at 2016 South by Southwest Interactive. Immediately available for purchase, the kit, which was created with the help of Ultimaker’s community, will provide all of the upgraded features found in Ultimaker’s newest printer, the Ultimaker 2+. The Extrusion upgrade kit enables users to upgrade the previous model to the latest standard for improved print results.

THE EXTRUSION UPGRADE INCLUDES
● Geared Feeder and Increased Reliability
The innovative feeder allows users to easily change filament and choose the correct filament pressure.
● Swappable Nozzle for Greater Control
Easily switch between 0.25, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 mm nozzles for greater detail or faster print speed.
● Optimized Airflow for Smoother Prints
The new fan caps ensure the airflow is aimed perfectly below the nozzle and equally from each side.
