Three Products from EFI

EFI's Fiery JDF Connector is a “creation-to-
fulfillment” JDF integration connecting
the Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium Edition
to the EFI Fiery RIP. Available for
download from EFI's website, the Connector
allows the EFI server and customers
using the Creative Suite to increase productivity
by automating digital workflows
using print job tickets with processing
instructions.

The company has also recently teamed
with Quickcut to produce the AssureProof
hardcopy proofing system, which includes
Quickcut's QuickPrint software and the EFI
Colorproof XF RIP. The system supports
inkjet printers from Canon, Epson, and
Hewlett-Packard.

In addition, EFI has also released the
Fiery EXP8000 color server for the Xerox
DocuColor 7000 Digital Press. Aimed at
production print-on-demand environments,
the workflow will print at 70 ppm, RIP'ing a
new file while simultaneously printing
another. It includes EFI's Variable Data Printing
solution as well as the Fiery ColorWise
