Allworth Press has released Thinking in Type: The Practical Philosophy of Typography, by Alex W. White.

In this 215-page soft-cover book, White”?who is also the author of How to Spec Type“?strives to provide some “commonsense guidelines” for typographic use. Along the way, he gives the reader his view of the history, theory, and practice of typographic design.

The book is divided into four major sections, including:
