The Oldham Group, the Springfield, IL-based supplier of prepress, pressroom, and bindery equipment, has launched a new large-format division to offer signage and graphics solutions to the wide-format and graphics industry. The company has opened an office in Myrtle Beach, SC, to spearhead the division's operations.

“This division significantly improves our exposure to our current customers, moving them into wide-format technologies as well as developing vertical opportunities for the current solvent market,” says Jerry Collins, vice president of The Oldham Group. “We look forward to transferring our color-management, workflow, RIP, and hardware expertise to customers interested in pursuing wide-format applications.”

Established in 1951, The Oldham Group initially focused on printing supplies, then later added prepress, pressroom, and bindery equipment; an electronics division was added in 1989. Today, the company has more than 100 employees with offices in Illinois, Missouri, Texas, and South Carolina. A member of SGIA, ISA, and the US Sign Council, the company reports that it will exhibit at the major trade shows in 2007.
