Tekgraf Corp. and Troika Systems Ltd. have enhanced the TDS VersoProof System to make it possible to produce high-quality, color-accurate two-sided imposition proofs on Epson Stylus Pro wide-format inkjet printers.

Dual-coated sheets of proofing media are fed into the printer for first-side printer, then manually reloaded for second-side printing. TDS VersoProof software, combined with the capabilities of the Epson printer, ensure high accuracy in registering the prints on both sides of the sheet.

According to Tekgraf, improvements in the system's color-management systems make it possible to achieve near contract-quality imposition proofs. TDS VersoProof can now process input formats such as ICC-color-profiled continuous-tone TIFFs.

For greater flexibility in designing prepress workflows, the upgraded TDS VersoProof also allows for HP to Epson conversions. (Contact Tekgraf: www.tekgraf.com)
