Tampoprint Intros Flatbed for Media up to 19.6-in. Thick

Tampoprint's latest flatbed, the DMD EP
1600, is a 63-in.-wide machine that can
accommodate substrates as thick as 19.6
in. (500 mm). A variable-drop solvent-ink
system, the 1600 offers resolutions up to
1400 dpi and speeds up to 301 sq ft/hr. It
can print on substrates up to 63 x 98 in.
and on all kinds of surfaces, including
hard or soft foam plates, plastic, plexiglass,
acrylic glass, aluminum composite
panels (Dibond), PVC sheets, vinyl foils,
textiles, wood, and more.

The DMD EP 1600 offers 4-color solvent
inks, which come in 300-ml units; an
upgrade to 1-l tanks is available. The inks,
which can be replenished while printing,
offer an outdoor durability of up to 2 yr. In
addition, the machine can also be upgraded
to include 6-color inks (CMYKcm).

Included is the ErgoSoft PosterPrint
11.0 RIP, which has been customized to
this specific machine. The machine also
features an overpressure system for
adhesion of ink to the substrate, and postprint
heaters and dryers. Additional
options include vacuum plate/suction for
a vacuum table, and a roll-to-roll converter.
