(PRESS RELEASE) The Swiss manufacturer of large-format digital printers, swissQprint, has announced the construction of new premises in the U.S. in West Dundee, IL. This marks a significant step forward in the company’s growth in North America. The new facility will enhance swissQprint’s ability to serve its customers and showcase its cutting-edge technology.

“We continue to see North America as a growth market,” says Kilian Hintermann, CEO of swissQprint. “This facility for our U.S. subsidiary is a testament to our commitment to serving our North American customers even better.” swissQprint America currently is headquartered in Elgin, IL, providing sales and after-sales services and the company has an additional demo center located in Irvine, CA.

Easy access and enhanced service
The new facility will be situated on three acres within West Dundee, IL, strategically located approximately 10 minutes closer to Chicago O’Hare airport than the current premises. Erik Norman, President of swissQprint America, explained: “The heart of the new facility is the expanded showroom to feature our large-format printers and applications, along with increased capacity for our applications and service teams,” he says. “All of this is designed so we can deliver exceptional support and experiences for our customers.”

Facility features with sustainability commitments
The new building will span 24,780 ft. Key features include a 4,757 ft2 showroom and hospitality area; a dedicated training center for individual or group applications training; and 2,192 ft2 dedicated to machine refurbishing and service. Also, the building will have significantly expanded warehouse and office space compared to the existing Elgin premises. Overall, the U.S. team looks forward to a 130% increase in space.

Reflecting swissQprint’s commitment to environmental responsibility, approximately 400 solar panels are planned to be installed and to supply power from renewable resources. Heitman Architects Inc. designed the building, and construction will be done by The DSI Group, both of Chicago, IL. swissQprint was represented by Bespoke Commercial Real Estate.  www.swissqprint.com.
