StaffingTools.com and Pantone? Color have joined together to offer an online interactive color specification course entitled, “Hit the Spots.” The course is designed to teach designers the basics of proper color specification within popular design applications for more accurate and predictable output. It will review color selection when preparing files; understanding the impact of ink, press conditions, and paper on color results in final output; how to handle spot-color conversions for various printing processes; and using Pantone Hexachrome? 6-color process vs.
CMYK.

Students take a pretest to measure their initial knowledge and then based on test results, the system creates a custom curriculum for each user, providing training only in unfamiliar areas.
