Sihl Intros Eight New Media

Sihl has introduced several new photo,
solvent, and banner media for wide-format
systems:

Iridium SuperDry Photo Paper PE 280
is an 11-mil microporous photo paper that
features an instant-dry surface, is compatible
with dye and pigment/solvent
inks, is available in gloss or satin, and
laminates well.

Imola SuperDry Photo Paper PE 170
pearl is a microporous, double-sided,
bright white economy photo paper. Compatible
with dye and pigment/solvent
inks, its applications include photo reproduction,
P-O-P signage, and posters.

PosterColor Photo Paper 170 matte is a
bright white graphic-arts paper featuring a
barrier coating and inkjet-receptive coating
on one side, and an anti-curl coating on the
reverse side. It laminates well and is compatible
with dye and pigment/solvent inks.

SyntiSol PP Film for Solvent EasyTack
WF 300 satin is a self-adhesive version of
its SyntiSol PP Film for solvent WF 170
satin. The new product offers waterfast
durability, tear-resistance, a paper-like
touch, and is repositionable.

PhotoSol PE Photo Paper for Solvent
235 gloss is a stiff, stable polyethylene
photo paper that dries quickly even with
high ink levels. Designed for indoor
applications, the coating is waterproof
and, although no further protection is
necessary, PhotoSol accepts both hot
and cold laminates.

PhotoSol PET Banner WF 290 satin is
a lightweight polyester banner that is
waterfast and will last up to 18 months
without protection in both indoor and outdoor
applications. It features high tear
resistance, is flame-retardant, and can be
used for exhibition signage.

WeatherPro Contempo Vinyl is an economical
vinyl with Sihl PermaTack, a
water-based permanent adhesive. Compatible
with dye and pigment inks, Contempo
has a waterfast coating, is suitable
for unprotected outdoor applications for
up to two months, and offers good hot
and cold lamination characteristics.

WeatherPro Expo Polyester Fabric
Banner is a dye- and pigment-compatible
fire-certified, tear-resistant flexible polyester
banner. It can be used for up to
three months without lamination, but
takes liquid lamination well.
