Sihl Debuts Solvit Media Line

Sihl USA has introduced a new line of
media designed just for solvent wide-format
printers. The Solvit line features
paper, backlit films, canvas, Tyvek, and
polypropylene media.

TriSolv Premium Paper is a heavy
poster-weight paper with a glossy finish
for making photo prints. It's 200 gsm and
Sihl claims it offers excellent sharpness
and brilliant color saturation. It is available
in 36-, 54-, and 63-in. rolls.

TriSolv Standard Paper Blue Back is a
highly opaque, blue-back paper with lightblock
on the back side to reduce shinethrough.
It's 120 gsm and designed for use
as billboards, outdoor posters, and kiosks.
It is available in 36- and 63-in. rolls.

TriSolv Standard Paper White Back is
a mid-range weight (135 gsm) paper with
a satin finish. It is designed for high-volume
jobs such as posters, P-O-S graphics,
billboards, and kiosks. And it is available
in grand-format sizes”?36-, 54-, and 78-
in. wide rolls.

Optilux Backlit Film is a 6-mil, singleside
polyester film with a translucent
inkjet-receptive coating. Optilux Window
Film Easy Tack is the same as Backlit
Film, but with a repositionable adhesive,
for application onto any glass surface. It is
available in 36- or 50-in. rolls.

Picasso Canvas is a 340-gsm, 16.5-
mil cotton/poly blend canvas with a coating
on one side. It can be stretched and
framed without cracking. It has a waterfast
satin finish, which eliminates the
need for lamination. It is available in 36
and 54-in. rolls.

Tyvek Banner is a tear-resistant polyolefin
that is lightweight (130 gsm, 10 mil)
but strong. The indoor/outdoor matte-finish
media can be grommetted, taped, or pocketed.
It is available in 36- or 50-in. rolls.

Syntisol PP-Film is a semi-gloss, tearresistant
polypropylene film. It is
designed to produce a photorealistic print
quality with a paper-like touch, while
being used as indoor or outdoor displays,
signage, and P-O-P graphics.
