A retailer’s window display in a shopping center serves as an important first impression – and an enticing presentation can be the difference between a shopper that enters the store and one that keeps on walking.

Sharpe, a 66-year-old family-owned print service provider with six North Carolina locations, has counted Wrangler as a client since 2001. The apparel company is a typical customer for the 70-employee operation. They also frequently work with other retailers, plus clients from the design, construction, manufacturing, and financial industries. 

For a recent project with Wrangler, Sharpe outfitted the windows of Denver and Dallas retail locations for the clothier. Graphics that depict musicians and concertgoers rocking Wrangler jeans were direct printed onto UltraBoard foamcore using an EFI Vutek GS3250LX Pro UV LED press. The same printer was used to image graphics onto 3M Controltac Print Film 40C-114R decals that adhere directly to the window glass. Finishing was conducted with an Esko Kongsberg XN cutter and AGL laminator. Sharpe also crafted mock shipping containers used in the display from Sintra and wrapped with 3M Scotchcal Graphic Film IJ35C vinyl imaged with an EFI Vutek GS2000LX Pro. 

“We’ve seen a slowdown in our retail printing over the last few years, but we do have a few partners that are doing a great job reinventing themselves,” says Zach Sharpe, owner. “We’ve been blessed to be part of three projects that have shown extremely promising results from their reinvention.”
