Scanvec Amiable Upgrades PhotoPrint 4

Scanvec Amiable has upgraded its PhotoPRINT family of print-management software for large-format printing. PhotoPrint 4 now features spot-color separation and underbase control, and a new color-profiling engine. The optional Screen Print module adds various features including screen ink estimation. PhotoPrint is available in four versions:

PhotoPrint Special Edition (SE) 4 is an entry-level RIP for single workstation configuration. Users can send files to the printer directly from Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, QuarkXPress, CorelDraw, and all major CAD programs.

PhotoPrint Design Xtras (DX) 4 provides a layout package with design capabilities such as text, shapes, and effects, combined with the versatility to RIP/print to two devices simultaneously. The layout features and the RIP support print-and-cut workflows.

PhotoPrint Server 4 is a client-server RIP solution for networks and large production environments. Its productivity tools include job priority, job nesting, global color remapping, and hot folders. It supports Mac and PC clients with multiple printers.

PhotoPrint Server Pro 4 is similar to Server but includes extended capabilities and cost-savings features. Included are an additional editor station for layout and design (similar to features in DX), along with ICC profile editing/creation with a color-calibration wizard.
