Roland DGA unveiled its Texart RT-640M multi-function dye sublimation printer for printing directly onto coated polyester fabrics or to sublimation transfer paper with Texart SBL3 sublimation inks. Features include a media take-up with adjustable front rollers; magnet weights for tensioning; 8-channel printheads with 4-color, 8-color, and 8-color fluorescent configurations; Roland Bulk Ink Switching System with 1000cc pouches and automatic switching a backup; and ink collection channel within the platen for direct printing on think textiles. Included ErgoSoft Roland Edition 2 software has tools specifically for textile dye sub applications, allows users to RIP up to eight jobs simultaneously, and features an Aurelon PDF engine with 64-bit native support.
