(PRESS RELEASE) IRVINE, CA — Roland DGA announced the launch of the TrueVis VG4 Series, a line of eco-solvent print and cut devices aimed at sign makers and print service providers. The release coincides with Roland DG’s refreshed global brand identity, “Make Your Mark.”
Available in 54-inch (VG4-540) and 64-inch (VG4-640) models, the TrueVis VG4 Series builds on the TrueVis line, combining image quality with automation and workflow tools. Roland DGA is also expanding TR3 eco-solvent ink availability across the TrueVis range.
Image Quality
The TrueVis VG4 Series uses high-precision ink droplet control and color processing to produce detail, gradients and color reproduction, according to the company. Red and Light Black TR3 inks are now available for both the VG4 Series and the TrueVis XG-640, adding brand color matching, richer mid-tones and improved neutral grays. Existing ink options — including Orange, Green, Light Cyan, Light Magenta and White — remain available. White ink performance has been updated, with the company citing higher density and faster output for layered and backlit graphics.
Applications include signage, posters, vehicle wraps, window graphics, labels and decals.
Workflow
Users can initiate print jobs from the printer’s control panel without returning to a RIP workstation. Through Roland DG Connect, jobs can be managed remotely, including monitoring status and starting prints. The VG4 Series ships with VersaWorks 7, Roland DG’s RIP software for Windows and macOS, featuring faster processing, native PDF 2.0 support, color tools and variable data printing.
Stored media presets allow operators to recall settings at the touch of a button. Long-run print and cut workflows are supported by an included take-up unit and perforation sheet cut function for unattended operation.

Running Costs and Sustainability
Roland DGA says the VG4 Series delivers up to 30% lower ink consumption compared to competitor devices, and that enhanced self-maintenance allows users to replace key components themselves. TR3 inks are GBL-free and supplied in cardboard-based cartridges. Finished prints are GREENGUARD Gold certified for use in indoor environments including retail, hospitality and public spaces.
Ryugo Nimura, Executive Officer of Global Sales and Marketing at Roland DG, said: “With the TrueVis VG4 Series, we’ve focused on delivering what matters most to sign makers today — outstanding image quality, predictable color, and a smarter, more efficient workflow. Combined with our latest TR3 inks, VG4 empowers users to produce premium graphics with confidence, while keeping productivity high and running costs low.”
The TrueVis VG4 Series is the first product launched under Roland DG’s updated brand identity. The company says the rebrand marks a strategic shift toward delivering complete print ecosystems combining hardware, supplies, software and service. The new identity has been introduced across Roland DG’s digital channels and will be featured at ISA Expo in Orlando, FL, April 8–10, and FESPA in Barcelona, Spain, May 19–22, 2026.
