Roland DGA has selected 12 Service Engineers from the United States, Canada and Mexico to compete in the North American regional finals of Roland’s ongoing Global SE Awards Contest. In the North American regionals, which will take place June 9-10 at Roland DGA’s Irvine, California headquarters, the finalists will compete in a series of tests and events related to inkjet printer troubleshooting. This regional competition will narrow down the field to two service engineers who will move on to the October 2015 global finals hosted by parent company Roland DG in Hamamatsu, Japan.

“The intent of the Global SE Awards Contest is recognize the contributions of Roland’s service engineers worldwide and raise the quality and uniformity of the services they provide to the highest possible level,” said Roland DGA President Rick Scrimger. “Roland prides itself on providing the best product service and support in the industry, and our highly qualified SEs play an essential role in helping us consistently exceed customer expectations.”

Roland Service Engineers are engaged in the repair and maintenance of the entire spectrum of products the company offers, including wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters, vinyl cutters, engravers, and milling machines and 3D printers. The Roland DGA Creative Center showcases the work Roland users, inspires imagination, and invites customers to experience the full potential of Roland products. Roland Care supplies users with a broad range of customer service and support, including maintenance and troubleshooting, to ensure optimum performance and productivity.

“The ultimate goal of the Global SE Awards competition is to draw attention to the wide scope of services Roland provides for its customers and our commitment to continuous improvement,” added Scrimger. “At the same time, it provides an opportunity for our SEs from around the world to interact and learn from one another, while also increasing their personal pride and motivation.”
