Korea-based IP&I has introduced a pair of 102-in. wide-format flatbed/rollfed printers Revo and Cube. While they share many of the same specs, their speeds and head heights distinguish them. Both printers:
“? Offer three resolutions (360 x 360, 360 x 720, 360 x 1440 dpi), printing in one or two directions, and in 2-, 4-, or 8-pass modes;
“? Use UV-curable inks with outdoor UV resistance for 2-3 yr;
“? Feature a vacuum bed and automatic head cleaning;
“? Feature Konica Minolta printheads that produce 14-picoliter droplets;
“? Utilize Sun-Jet ink;
“? Offer a vacuum pressure system that controls the ink supply to the printhead; and
“? Offer optional front and rear media-loading systems.

In addition, the machines offer customers an inkset choice: 6-color + 2W (CMYKcmWW) or double CMYK. The double CMYK machines can also add white ink, but with a reduction in speed.

The Revo-160 can accommodate media up to 2.36-in. thick. Speeds for the double CMYK printer range from 861 sq ft/hr for 360 x 360 dpi, 2 pass, bidirectional printing to 65 sq ft/hr in 8-pass unidirectional, at 360 x 1440 dpi. The CMYKcm+2W offers speeds ranging from 431 sq ft/hr at 360 x 360 dpi 2-pass bidirectional printing mode to 32 sq ft/hr at 360 x 1440 8-pass unidirectional mode.

The Cube-260 can accommodate media up to 3.93-in. thick. Speeds for the double CMYK printer range from 1076 sq ft/hr for 360 x 360 dpi, 2 pass bidirectional printing, to 86 sq ft/hr in 8-pass unidirectional 360 x 1440-dpi mode. The CMYKcm+2W offers speeds ranging from 538 sq ft/hr at 360 x 360 dpi 2-pass bidirectional mode to 43 sq ft/hr at 360 x 1440 8-pass unidirectional mode.
