Registration Available for National Environmental Health and Safety Conference

Registration for the 2010 National Environmental Health and Safety Conference being held March 15-17 at the Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre is now available.

Themed “Printing for a Sustainable Future,” the conference focuses on safety, environmental, and human resources issues as they relate to the graphic communications industry.

The conference kicks off with Denise Coogan’s keynote session, Extreme Recycling at Subaru. Coogan is manager of safety and environmental compliance for Subaru of Indiana Automotive.

The conference will also feature pre-conference workshops and general sessions. Some of the workshops include: Sustainability Management Systems, Calculating Your Carbon Footprint, OSHA recordkeeping Primer—What You Need to Know, Recruiting and Hiring Practices, and Development of EHS Compliance Programs.

General session topics include: Environmental Marketing, Impact of Healthcare Reform on the Graphic Communications Facility as well as Customer Panel and Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) Certified Printers Panel discussions.

Early registration before February 28 is $495 for SGIA members; $895 for non-members; $295 for educators, students, and government workers; $295 for SGIA members with less than 20 employees; and $695 for non-members with less than 20 employees. Pre-conference workshop registration is $95 for SGIA members and $190 for non-members.

After February 28, registration is $595 for SGIA members; $995 for non-members; $395 for educators, students, and government workers; $395 for SGIA members with less than 20 employees; and $795 for non-members with less than 20 employees.
SGIA members also can register a second attendee from the same company for half price.
