Produce Outdoor Graphics on Recyclable Corrugated

Two Sweden-based companies, SCA Packaging and Heureka Marketing, have
teamed up with Inca Digital and Sericol to devise an easy way to post
output from the Inca Columbia digital flatbed press in indoor or outdoor
displays.

The Easy Ad? system eliminates the need to adhere
adhesive-backed vinyls or papers onto rigid substrates. With Inca
Digital's Columbia digital flatbed press (which has a bed size of
3.2 x 1.6 m) and Sericol's
outdoor-durable UVjet inks, ad messages can be printed onto both sides
of sheets of weather-resistant, recyclable corrugated materials
developed by SCA Packaging. The output graphics can then creased and
folded with Esko-Graphics' Kongsberg DCM 22 Digital Diecutter, which
was
originally designed for package prototyping.

The folded graphics on corrugated can be easily shipped and installed
by
one person into the Easy Ad clip-in framing system. The framing systems
are available in various sizes and shapes for use on buses, trains,
wall, and permanent sign structures. Changing an ad message can be as
simple as unclipping the printed graphic and turning it over.

The Easy Ad system has already proven to be popular in colder
climates,
in which installing vinyl graphics can be problematic. “In
Scandinavian
countries, to stick a vinyl advertisement onto a bus you would have to
leave the bus inside for up to two days to warm up sufficiently,”
says
SCA Packaging's Lars Fransson, SCA Packaging's. “With the
Easy Ad system you just drive it to the side of the road, unclip the
frame and remove
the board, and unfold and insert the new advertisement.”

For producers of advertising graphics, Heureka Marketing AG is
offering a
turnkey Easy Ad package with SCA's patented weather-resistant
corrugated
board, the clip framing system for fast changeover, an Esko-Graphics
Kongsberg DCM 22 Digital Diecutter, and an Inca Digital flatbed Columbia
