Portrait One Helps Portrait Photographers Stay Organized

Booking, capture, and editing features help increase efficiency

Phase One's Portrait One is a three-module, workflow-organizing system for professional portrait photographers who use a Phase One digital camera back or a DSLR. The Management Module, Capture Module, and Sales & Printing Module allow users to organize session bookings and customer data, capture and edit images, and enhance the sales process by allowing photographers to present, select, and produce images professionally with clients.

Features include: client records with personal data and image management; Best RAW conversion to ensure image quality; automatic FTP transfer or CD burning for photo-lab-printing of proof sheets; and electronic invoicing and printing of proof sheets.

Capture images can be projected on the wall in actual print sizes for sales presentations, and images can be viewed in color, sepia, or black and white. The capture module includes focus tools and an ICC color profiler to create skin tones. The software also allow portrait photographers to generate customer and lab order forms and define their own products, packages, and price lists. Captured images can also be printed in-house, using customizable templates.

Portrait One is a basic software package for newcomers to digital who want to start out with a complete digital workflow. The Portrait One Executive version is for users seeking to expand their digital workflows to incorporate reporting and invoicing. Both can be upgraded to support more users and network users together as a studio grows. (Phase One:
