Plaskolite, Inc., the Columbus, Ohio-based manufacturer of acrylic sheet products, has acquired the extruded sheet business of Pexco LLC.

Part of Odyssey Investment Partners and based in Atlanta with 10 plants in the United States and Mexico, Pexco designs and fabricates custom extruded parts and components to manufacturers and end-users for a range of applications, including aerospace, retail, traffic safety, medical, lighting, fence industries, and more. Its extruded sheet business is based in Columbia, South Carolina.

“Our customers will immediately benefit from the addition of Pexco’s extruded sheet products to Plaskolite’s product line,” says Mitchell P. Grindley, Plaskolite’s vice president of marketing and sales. “We will be able to leverage our state-of-the-art production assets by moving the Pexco sheet production to our Ohio (Columbus and Zanesville) and Mississippi (Olive Branch) facilities.”

Plaskolite’s product lines include Optix acrylic, as well as a range of polystyrene and roll stock, and more; in July 2012, Plaskolite acquired the Vivak PETG sheet USA business from Bayer MaterialScience LLC.
