OnOne Software has released new versions of its Genuine Fractals software as well as its PhotoTools program.

Genuine Fractals 6, designed to help users resize images without compromising clarity, is available in two editions-Professional and Standard-and now offers texture presets, batch processing, tiling, and improved document-size presets and crop tools. The Professional edition adds a new automatic gallery wrap function that allows for increasing edge areas without distortion, resizing of CMYK images, and support for Lightroom 2 and Aperture 2.1 as well as Photoshop.

PhotoTools 2, also available in Professional and Standard editions, is a Photoshop plug-in that features a new Effects Library, improved effects categorization, a keyword mode that allows users to search effects by desired tone (such as “warm and grainy”), an effects preview mode, and masking support. The Professional edition includes 120 additional new effects plus support for Lightroom 2 and Aperture 2.1.
