Olympus has issued its second firmware update for the E-1 digital SLR. Version 1.2 allows users to continually shoot photos in the C-AF (continuous auto focus) mode. To quick shoot, users press the shutter button repeatedly with a “pumping” action, while keeping the shutter release button half-pressed down.

In addition, the new version adds higher sharpness settings, improved exposure in macro mode, and quicker startups from sleep mode. E-1 owners can update their firmware through their Olympus Viewer or Olympus Studio software. (Olympus: www.olympus.com)
