Oce Introduces New Inkjet Media

The new Oce Options line of media can be used to produce short-term indoor or outdoor promotional banners, displays, and original art reproductions. Compatible with aqueous dye and
pigment inks, the Options media is priced at a substantial discount to Oce's premium line of comparable products, and is available in 36- to 60-in. widths.

“? Vinyl with PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) is a matte 11-mil, opaque white, calendared vinyl with permanent, solvent-based acrylic adhesive for short-term, flexible outdoor graphics.

“? The 23-mil Artists Stretch Canvas is a 100% cotton canvas designed for artist reproductions.

“? Polypropylene is an 8-mil, matte film for short-term outdoor graphics.

“? The 9-mil Polypropylene with PSA is a white film with a permanent, solvent-based acrylic adhesive for short-term outdoor graphics.

“? The 14.5-mil matte Scrim Vinyl with Blockout is tear-resistant and features a blockout layer.

“? Scrim Vinyl is an 18.5-mil single-sided matte scrim vinyl for short-term outdoor graphics, which is only compatible with aqueous pigment inks.

Oce has also recently announced a new line of solvent-compatible media“?including includes cast and calendered pressure-sensitive vinyl, PVC scrim banner, outdoor paper, glossy photo paper, backlit film and textile material, which can be used in a wide range of
solvent and mild-solvent large-format inkjet printers. The new solvent line includes:

“? The 3.4-mil Oce Calendered Self Adhesive Vinyl is a premium calendered vinyl with Avery's Easy Apply permanent three year removable adhesive.

“? A 3.5-mil promotional calendered vinyl with permanent self adhesive, Oce Economical Adhesive Backed Vinyl offers outdoor durability of up to one year.

“? Designed for outdoor use for up to 18 months, Oce Scrim Banner Double Sided with Blockout is a 12-oz. smooth, micro-textured scrim banner with 100% opacity for double-sided printing and viewing.

“? Offering long life and exceptional weather resistance, Oce Scrim Banner Single Sided with Blockout is 16-oz banner designed for pole and over-the-street-banners with an 18 months outdoor durability.

“? This 212-gsm heavyweight latex-saturated indoor/outdoor poster paper, Oce Outdoor Poster Paper is a designed to maintain cohesive fiber strength when wet and when used with wallpaper paste; there is also a 140-gsm version of this paper.

“? The 7-mil Oce Solvent Backlit is a PET backlit film designed to produce maximum ink density, vivid colors and high image resolution.

“? The 143-gsm Oce Heavy Poly Textile is a 100% polyester fabric, designed for universal compatibility with solvent, eco- and light-solvent, and aqueous inkjet printers; it meets NFPA 701 CA1237 fire retardant requirements. Oce Light Poly Textile is a 120-gsm, 100% polyester fabric with similar inkset compatibilities.

In addition, Oce has also introduced a 4-mil Universal Clear Inkjet Film. Compatible with dye- and pigment-based aqueous inks, the polyester-based film can be used to create window signage and GIS map overlays. In a screen-printing shop, it can also be used to print film positives, with resolutions up to 1440 dpi when printed with Epson dye inks. It is available in 24- to 54-in. rolls.
