Oce has announced the Oce CS6060 solvent
inkjet printer, being made available
only in Europe at the present time.

Designed for light production environments
and short-run jobs, the CS6060 is a
6-color printer (CMYKcm) utilizing industrial-
grade, super-wide piezo inkjet printheads.
In two-pass mode, it can reach
speeds of up to 330 sq ft/hr and a resolution
of 720 x 360 dpi; in four-pass mode, it
can hit 176 sq ft/hr and offer a resolution
of 720 x 720 dpi.

The printer uses Oce IJC610 series lowsolvent
inks, which are cyclohexanonfree
and contain lower concentrations of
solvents (resulting in lower fume levels).
Due to their aggressive adhesion technology,
says Oce, the inks provide up to 3
years of outdoor durability. The CS6060 is
being offered as a complete turnkey system,
including printer, starter kit, Onyx
Graphics Workflow Software and printer
