Nur Expands Printer Lineup

Nur Tempo Q and Fresco III, plus new enhancements.

NUR Macroprinters has announced two new printers-the Nur Tempo Q and the Fresco III–and has introduced enhancements to existing printers.

* Nur Tempo Q: The NUR Tempo Q is a new, higher-resolution version of Nur's Tempo platform. A flatbed UV-inkjet press, the Nur Tempo Q provides print speeds up to 70 sq m (750 sq ft) /hr., with higher color density and improved print quality, the company reports. It can print on both rigid and roll-fed media and is designed to produce up to true 1080 dpi.

* Nur Fresco III: The latest version of the Nur Fresco, the NUR Fresco III is a solvent-ink based, 3.2m (10.5-ft) wide-format inkjet production press. The machine provides higher color density and faster print speeds than prior models, says Nur: up to 144 sq.m (1550 sq.ft) /hr. Nur is offering an upgrade to current Fresco owners.

* Flatbed module for the Nur Expedio 3200: The new Flatbed module includes a simple mounting mechanism that makes it fast and easy to switch between rigid and roll-fed printing modes. The flatbed module enables printing on rigid substrates of up to 3.2m (10.5 ft) wide by unlimited length. The module is designed to ensure maximum media flexibility and compatibility with a wide variety of applications ranging from point-of-purchase materials to billboards on the same press.

* Auto Color Management tool (ACM): The new on-press ACM provides a non-contact spectrophotometer enabling customers to easily and seamlessly generate ICC color profiles.

The new products will be formally introduced at Visual Communication Europe 2006 in France (Sept. 20-22) and at SGIA 2006 in Las Vegas (Sept. 26-29).
