Nik Software, Inc., a digital imaging and photography software developer, has announced plans for its first-ever “Nik Summit,” a two day educational event aimed at helping photographers improve their image capture skills and use photo enhancement technology to improve output quality.

The event, to be held May 13-16, 2010, in San Diego, will feature on-location photo shoots at famous landmarks throughout the city, as well as hands-on workshops, industry panels, and “fireside chats” with renowned professional photographers from Disney, National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, and Time magazine, among others.

“The Nik Summit is all about learning and sharing ideas in photography, and we are brining our product specialists and educators, top engineers, as well as Nik Software’s CTO specifically just to do that,” says Michael Slater, president and CEO of Nik Software.

Registration fees are $479 before March 15 and $599 thereafter, excluding hotel and travel costs.
