The NexPress 2100 has become the first digital press in its class to become licensed to reproduce Pantone Matching System colors. According to Pantone's Andrew Hatkoff, the rigorous certification process included scrutiny of two areas–spot colors and the repeatability of color output–for all 1114 colors in the Pantone Matching System. Automation of the Pantone matching process is available to all current NexPress 2100 users through a software upgrade. (NexPress Solutions LLC: www.nexpress.com; Pantone, Inc.: www.pantone.com)
