New Media from Arlon

Arlon has announced a range of new media–from films to banners to reflective vinyls.

* DPF 4590MT is a 3-mil intermediate calendered film with a tinted permanent adhesive. Designed for use with solvent and mild-solvent printers, the pressure-sensitive film's opacity will cover existing graphics or dark substrates. Offering a 3-yr outdoor lifespan, it comes in rolls from 30- to 60-in. wide.

* DPF 2400 is a 5-mil printable reflective vinyl with a high-tack permanent adhesive. Conformable to flat and irregular surfaces, it offers 7-yr outdoor durability for flat surfaces and 5-yr durability for irregular surfaces. It can be used for vehicle markings or any surface requiring increased visibility at night. DPF 2400 is compatible with solvent and mild-solvent printers, and is available in 48-in. rolls.

* Compatible with solvent and mild-solvent printers, Flexface WP500-MP is a 19-oz white seamless flexible polymeric PVC with a 6-yr outdoor rating. The high-strength 21-mil polyester scrim features a 23 x 23 thread count. With a protective covering on both surfaces, it offers good ink absorption, good UV protection, and easy cleaning. Available in rolls up to 196 in.

* Arlon's new banner films are designed for short-term, indoor and outdoor usage–ideal for P-O-P and retail displays. Each offers a super smooth matte finish and is compatible with solvent and mild-solvent printers. DPF 300 is a 13-oz economy scrim banner that is printable on both sides. The 10-oz DPF 301 is printable on both sides, but does not have block-out features. The 12-oz DPF 302 and 14-oz DPF 304 both have block-out features that allow for printing on both sides.

In addition, Arlon has announced its Total System Warranty, which ensures that matched Arlon films and laminates will perform and provide extended outdoor durability when combined with approved printers and OEM inksets.
