Esko has announced the introduction of its new Kongsberg V series cutting table, available in specific configurations for sign/display and for packaging.

Both models feature: insert-knife tools for a range of media/substrates; bar-coded inserts to allow for quick and error-free tool exchanges; a rack-and-pinion drive system; table mapping; and more. Both models are available in two sizes: approximately 66 x 50 and 66 x 120 in.

The Kongsberg V for signage and display production features the i-cut Vision Pro camera system for accurate print-to-cut registration as well as a MultiCut toolhead (air-cooled milling spindle up to 45,000 RPM). It’s designed for a wide range of sign and display materials, including acrylics and other synthetics.

The Kongsberg V for packaging is specially configured for sample making, short-run production of mockups, and other packaging-specific applications. It’s outfitted with a FlexiHead, designed for accurate, powerful cutting and creasing of packaging material (such as folding carton and corrugated board), reports Esko. Three configurable tool stations accommodate a range of standard tool inserts.
