Kodak has introduced its new Kodak
Matchprint Inkjet Proofing Solution,

replacing both the Creo Integris and KPG
Matchprint ProofPro products (Creo and
KPG are now divisions of Kodak).

A drop-on-demand proofing solution
that offers direct connectivity to Kodak
Prinergy and Brisque workflows, the new
Matchprint Inkjet Proofing Solution is
available in 2-up, 4-up, and 8-up formats.
Currently all formats utilize Epson Stylus
Pro printers, although support for the 4-
up Kodak Matchprint 2610 is anticipated
soon. All solutions include a Creo RIP
(formerly BestColor), as well as one set
of inks and one starter roll of media.

Price: $8650 (2-up), $11,600 (4-
up), $13,500 (8-up). Options include:
a Kodak-designed Double-Sided media
guide for improved two-sided printing
on the 8-up solution ($1300); and a
Certified Process for Color Confirmation,
which checks that the proof was generated
according to in-house or industry
color standards ($995).

Kodak also has released a new version
of its Web-to-Print software called
Kodak Nextreme 2.5. The software is
a production-management tool for the
automated fulfillment of short-run, personalized,
and versioned print jobs”?
especially for Kodak's NexPress digital
production color presses. New features
to version 2.5 include: product-based
ordering; VDP templates for catalog production;
PDF-generating drivers; and production-
management tools.

Other Kodak releases include new
versions of many of its workflow software
solutions, including: Synapse
UpFront v. 4.0
job planning software,
Synapse Link 2.1 workflow-management
system, Profile Wizard Mio 3.1 color-management
software for generating
ICC profiles; Profile Wizard Digi 2.0 color-management
