New Fine-Art Media from Breathing Color

Breathing Color has announced three new fine-art media: Allure Rag, Brilliance Titanium White Canvas, and Sterling Platinum Decor.

Allure Rag is a 285gsm, 100% cotton rag paper with a semi-gloss inkjet receptive coating. Designed to be used with aqueous dye-based and pigmented inks, this paper offers dense blacks with a Dmax of more than 2.0. Rolls are available in 24-, 36-, and 44-in. widths.

Brilliance Titanium White Canvas is an 18-mil, highly textured polycotton inkjet canvas that contains no optical-brightener additives or fluorescent whitening agents. It”?s compatible with aqueous and mild-solvent printers, and its proprietary titanium white inkjet-receptive coating is a match to titanium white paint that artists use to paint originals, reports the company. In addition, this canvas produces prints without metamerism or color shift issues and is resistant to shrinking or sagging when coated with a water-based giclee coating or when stretched. The canvas comes in several roll widths from 24 to 60 in.

Sterling Platinum Decor is a smooth fine-art paper with a bright-white surface, available in both 180- and 280-gsm. Utilizing its acid- and lignin-free Platinum Edition inkjet receptive coating, the paper has a high Dmax, an increased resistance to scuffing and flaking, is water-resistant, and has a high inkload capacity.
