The Allegra Network is introducing Digital Print Centers”?facilities of no more than 1500 sq ft that specialize in digital document output, copying, and graphic design. The centers will operate under the Allegra Print & Imaging banner.

The company's prototype Digital Print Center debuted in Indiana in 2003, and another opened in Ohio early this year. Allegra plans to open four to eight additional centers this year, likely in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. A nationwide rollout is planned for 2005, when the company hopes to open between 12 and 20 of the centers.

“We're a communications services provider, not just a printer,” says Carl Gerhardt, Allegra Network president and COO. “Being able to market to individuals specifically is a growing need.”

Headquartered in Northville, MI, the Allegra Network includes more than 450 locations in the US, Canada, and Japan. Brands include Allegra Print and Imaging, American Speedy Printing Centers, Instant Copy, Insty-Prints, Quik Print, Speedy Printing Centers, and Zippy Print.
