NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display has partnered with Lumileds Lighting, manufacturer of Luxeon LEDs, to bring to the marketplace a 21.3-in. UXGA LED backlit flat-panel desktop LCD monitor. Designed to provide color consistency across a large color space for print professionals, the display integrates NEC's Super Advanced Super Fine TFT panel technology with LED backlight technology from Lumileds, and utilizes a Luxeon DCC RGB light source to generate and fine tune the white point. A feedback sensor ensures that the display operates consistently over time.

The new monitor features a 1600 x 1200 ppi resolution, a dot pitch of 0.27 mm, brightness of 5000 to 9300K, and a contrast ratio of 500 to 1.
