Offering high impact and color intensity, as well as vibrant colors, the inks are designed for high resistance to the effects of UV degradation and color fading, and offer an outdoor durability of 2 yr. Available in 220-ml cartridges and in 1- or 5-l containers for bulk feed systems. The inks are compatible with a variety of media including flexible and pressure-sensitive vinyls, banners, blue-back paper, and backed mesh.

The Lyson 2000 inks are fully compatible with printers using Roland Eco-Sol Max and Mutoh Eco Ultra inks. Nazdar reports that there is no need to flush the system or develop new profiles when replacing the inks. In addition, the inks are compatible with Eco and Eco+ systems. Note: Lyson 2000 cartridges are for use only in printers that do not utilize chip-recognition systems. Nazdar will handle distribution of the Lyson 2000 inks.

In addition, the company has announced that the newly formed Ink2Image ( will be the exclusive North American distributor of Lyson's products for the photography and fine-arts markets. Ink2Image is headed by Tony Martin, former head of Lyson's US operations; Nazdar acquired Lyson in early 2006.

“The establishment of Ink2Image assures photographers and artists of an ongoing source of products and information dedicated to achieving cost-efficiency while maintaining or improving the image quality necessary to compete in these demanding markets,” says Martin.

Says Richard Bowles, vice president and general manager of Nazdar: 'As Tony is known and respected within the photo and fine arts markets-and among our customers in those markets-Ink2Image is well-positioned to help us take our Lyson branded products to new heights in these high profile segments.'
