MUTOH to Launch XpertJet 1641SR Pro II Eco-Solvent Printer on Oct. 22

(PRESS RELEASE) TOKYO — MUTOH INDUSTRIES LTD. has announced the upcoming launch of the 1.6-meter-wide XpertJet 1641SR Pro II eco-solvent inkjet printer, equipped with the new AccuFine HD Pro print head. Sales begin October 22.

This announcement comes ahead of the company’s live unveiling of the printer at PRINTING United Expo 2025 in Orlando, FL, followed by the SEMA Show 2025 in Las Vegas, NV.

According to the company, the single-head, four-color (CMYK) printer combines the AccuFine HD Pro print head, which features eight rows of closely spaced ink-jetting nozzles, with the newly developed i-Screen EX print control system. Together, they provide high-definition ink placement and smooth gradation expression, delivering what MUTOH describes as outstanding image quality.

The company says the new model achieves a print speed of 189.8 square feet per hour in Production printing mode, placing it among the top performers in its class of four-color printers. It is designed for applications including indoor and outdoor signage, exhibition graphics, car wrapping, and point-of-purchase displays.

The printer’s original wide color-gamut profile, MUTOH Wide Color Choice, expands the range of color reproduction, particularly in darker tones, and enhances the vividness of reds and the depth of blacks.

Additional features include automation tools such as DropMaster 2 and Feed Master for automatic bi-directional adjustment and media-feed correction; Media Tracker for roll-media management; and Nozzle Area Select, which allows continued printing even if a nozzle is clogged.

The XpertJet 1641SR Pro II also supports a take-up unit for media up to 66 pounds and offers one-touch print-head height adjustment at four levels (1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, and 4.0 mm) to optimize performance across different media types.

The printer uses MUTOH’s MS41 eco-solvent ink, which the company says provides excellent color development, outdoor durability, and easy maintenance. MS41 ink is UL GREENGUARD Gold certified for low chemical emissions, making it both environmentally and operator friendly.
