Mitsubishi Produces a Fast Dye-Sub Photo Printer
Outputs 8- x 10- or 8- x 12-in prints with built-in protective coating
For professional photographers working in the studio or on location, Mitsubishi has introduced the CP-3020DU digital color printer. Utilizing dye-sublimation thermal-transfer technology, the printer can quickly output 8 x 10 or 8 x 12-in. color prints in each glossy or matte finishes. An A4-size photo (about 8 1/2 x 11) can be generated in about 77 seconds. Multiple-size prints can be output onto a single size sheet.
A built-in laminate coating makes the prints resistant to fading, fingerprint smudges, and water damage. The printer works with Windows 98, ME, 2000, and XP. List price: $1495. (Mitsubishi Digital Electronics: 888-307-0312; www.mitsubishi-imaging.com)
