Mactac Introduces Rebel Cold Temp Graphic Print Media for Low Temperature Applications

Adding to the customer-favorite Rebel Multi-Print Media product line, Rebel Cold Temp features the latest in Mactac cold temperature innovation. A specially formulated high-tack pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) that is designed for high performance in low temperature applications, customers can meet their marketing, advertising, and signage needs — even in cold weather.

“Rebel Cold Temp allows outdoor applications in the winter when low temperatures prevent normal adhesives from wetting out,” says Nate Goodman, Technical Product Manager, Mactac Graphic & Signage Solutions. “These products can be installed in temperatures as low as 15 degrees Fahrenheit and will perform in below freezing temperatures.”

The Rebel Cold Temp adhesive was developed based on the properties and characteristics of the popular Mactac Rebel high-tack adhesive, which is known for its extreme bond, ultimate adhesion, and ability to stick to low-surface energy (LSE) materials. It adheres to powder coated paints, low-VOC wall paints, polyethylene, polypropylene, and difficult-to-stick surfaces.

Rebel Cold Temp is ideal for screen-printed decals, markings, point-of-purchase displays, durable decals, and indoor or outdoor signage. It is available in a 3.0 mil gloss clear polymeric vinyl (RB599CT) or a 3.2 mil matte white polymeric vinyl (RB528CT). Both products are non-top coated, durable, and flexible. They are accompanied by a 90# polyethylene liner that is coated on both sides and provides excellent lay flat properties.

Rebel Cold Temp has an outdoor durability of up to 5 years, and an indoor durability up to 7 years. It is offered in 150-foot-long rolls with widths of 54- or 60-inches. Sample rolls are also available.

All Rebel products can be printed on multiple print platforms, including UV and solvent screen printing, UV inkjet, UV offset, solvent, eco-solvent, latex printing, and thermal transfer printing.

The product is covered by the Mactac Open-Image Warranty, which guarantees compatibility and durability, and is also warranted with leading third-party screen ink manufacturers.
