MacTac Introduces Bubble Free Digital Vinyl

MacTac Graphic Products has introduced a new 2.8-mil calendered digital vinyl film to its Imagin line of wide-format digital media. Designed for use in high-performance applications, the Imagin JT5900 Bubble Free Digital (BFD) Series films are coated on one side with an opaque solvent acrylic adhesive for adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces. The adhesive is repositionable during application.

The BFD media is compatible with solvent and UV-curable inksets. It”?s designed to work with the company”?s Permacolor LF3600 Series of digital laminates; when applied with the LF3600 overlaminate, it is part of the MacTac Warranted System. MacTac, however, notes that applying an overlaminate will “significantly reduce conformability to complex curved surfaces.”?

“The superior qualities of bubble-free digital vinyl make it ideal for use in vehicle-graphic applications, including bus and automobile wraps and fleet graphics,”? says Jennifer Payne, MacTac product manager.

Available in a 54-in. width x 164-ft. length, the Imagin JT5900 BFD Series is supplied on a polycoated kraft release liner for moisture stability.

In addition, MacTac announced it has parterned with TunedColor (www.tundedcolor.com) to provide high-quality ICC profiles for its Imagin media customers. The updated profiles are posted on MacTac”?s website. TunedColor and MacTac will also work together to provide on-site color management and workflow support for customers.
