Lyson has launched several new ink products, including REPLEO inks; Matchproof pigment ink, reformulated Mimaki JV3 and Epson Stylus Pro inks, and Eco-Match.

Lyson has revived the REPLEO brand for its new dye and pigment-based UV bulk ink for HP's Designjet 5000 and 5500 printers. Featuring an everlasting chip in the bulk-ink cartridge, Repleo colors are matched to the OEM originals”?so there is no need to create a new color profile”?but the Repleo inks are significantly less expensive than the OEM inksets, Lyson reports.

The Lyson Matchproof pigment inks feature an expanded color gamut and are specifically designed for prepress proofing with printers with Epson printhead technology”?such as the Epson Stylus Pro 4000. Lyson reports that these inks exceed the SWOP color space and conform to the new GRACoL specifications.

In addition, Lyson has reformulated its inksets for the Mimaki JV3 and Epson Stylus Pro 4000, 7600, and 9600 printers. With improved fade and scratch-resistance, the Mimaki JV3 replacement inks are available in cartridges or bulk, offer 3-yr outdoor durability, and are OEM-color matched inks, eliminating the need for profiling in 95% of production.

The reformuated bulk-ink feed system and bulk inks for Epson Stylus Pro 4000, 7600, and 9600 printers are available as Cave Paint pigment or Fontonic archival dye inksets. The bulk ink system for the 4000 8-color printer is $915; it is $800 for the 7-color 7600 and 9600 printers.

Lyson reports that its Eco-Match is a true eco-solvent ink, “not just another light solvent being passed off as a replacement product.” Available in cartridges or bulk, the inks are compatible with Roland, Mutoh, and other printers designed for use with eco-solvent inks. Lyson boasts that these inks offer better drying time, improved scratch resistance, and color matching to OEM inks so no new profiling is necessary.
