Lucid Dream Incorporates Jaws PDF in On-TimeProof

Lucid Dream Software, Inc., software developer for prepress and production workflows, has signed an agreement with Global Graphics Software, developer of high-performance RIPs, PDF document, workflow, and color solutions. The agreement allows Lucid Dream to incorporate Jaws? PDF Courier? 1.2 in its version of its OnTimeProof? Web-based remote job approval system which will be introduced at Graph Expo and Converting Expo in September.

Jaws PDF Courier 1.2 is for customized creation and Internet-based delivery of documents in Portable Document Format (PDF). It places preflighting upstream at customer sites to assure print service providers that the PDF files they receive can be printed. It is easy to deploy, makes for a highly automated workflow, includes higher security, additional page sizes, improved color handling and accuracy, and support for PDF 1.4 and Enfocus Certified PDF workflows.

Lucid Dream's OnTimeProof remote proofing system is designed for use within a variety of production workflows, including Heidelberg Delta RIP, and Harlequin ScriptWorks RIP. OnTimeProof allows users to view proofs of RIPped jobs using a standard Web browser, and to collaboratively annotate their files during the proofing process, cutting costs and speeding workflow.
