Lineco, which has been supplying archival storage, preservations, conservation, and restoration materials to museums, libraries, artists, and other archiving institutions for 35 years, has unveiled its latest in archiving media–the PopArt? archival presentation system for digital photographs and artwork.

The whole portfolio or album can be digitally printed while maintaining the artist's design and color aesthetic. The pages can be printed with either dye or pigmented aqueous inks on Epson, Canon, and Hewlett-Packard inkjet printers.

Three types of paper are available: a two-sided archival matte, a two-sided 100% cotton fine art, and a one-sided photo luster. Each media is acid- and lignin-free, and is currently undergoing tests to verify light stability with a variety of inksets.

Pages are supplied with a flexible hinge, so that printed pages lay flat in Lineco's post-bound albums. Albums are available in six sizes from 8 1/2 x 9 1/2 in. up to 17 x 12 in.

Companion pieces to the PopArt system are a handcrafted post-bound album (in leather or bookcloth), protective page covers (in either printable translucent interleaving sheets or polylpropylene sleeves), a metal storage box, and a flex hinge binding strip.
