To give owners of aqueous inkjets practical choices for producing short-term and longer-term outdoor graphics, LexJet Direct now offers two lines of banner media: a premium line, which carries a 12-month warranty for unlaminated graphics created with pigmented inks; and an economy line, which offers some of the lowest-priced receptor-coated media in the marketplace.

Warranted Products: LexJet's premium Extreme line of outdoor-graphics media have a scratch-resistant, waterproof coating that makes it possible for LexJet to warranty the graphics against fading, peeling, cracking, bleeding and running. LexJet's Extreme outdoor media include: Extreme Blockout Banner, a 20-mil blockout scrim vinyl banner media that is said to have three times the tear strength of traditional scrim-vinyl media; Extreme UltraBunner, an industry-standard blockout scrim vinyl banner; and Extreme AquaVinyl, an adhesive-backed vinyl with a permanent, removable adhesive.

Low-Cost Solutions: LexJet's new UltraBanner is a waterproof, 19-mil, blockout scrim vinyl banner priced at $0.79/sq ft. It is the fourth in a series of receptor-coated media products designed to help users of aqueous-system inkjet printers reduce the cost of producing banners and outdoor promotional graphics.

According to LexJet's John Lane, “UltraBanner is the first blockout scrim vinyl to break the $100 per roll price barrier.” Other products in LexJet's line of low-cost, waterproof graphic materials include 6- and 8-mil adhesive and non-adhesive-backed polypropylene films selling as low as $0.39/sq ft and a 15-mil scrim vinyl banner selling for $0.59/sq ft.
