Kodak Polychrome Graphics' Matchprint Color RIP software for large-format printers has been upgraded to version 2.6. The upgrade includes improvements for color-accurate remote-proofing, support for Epson Stylus Pro 7600, 9600, 10600 and Hewlett-Packard Designjet 5500 large-format inkjet printers, and the ability to process DSC2 and PDF/X2 files. Horizontal and
vertical job-scaling capabilities give wide-format inkjet proofers the capability to be reused to output sellable display graphics.

The Matchprint Color RIP is part of the Matchprint Inkjet System, which was developed in 2000 to enable high-resolution inkjet printers to simulate Matchprint analog proofs. According to KPG, more than 3000 copies of Matchprint Color RIP have shipped worldwide.

Matchprint Color RIP 2.6 also utilizes switchable hot folders and includes the approved and licensed Pantone? Color Library for the KPG's recently introduced Matchprint Inkjet Proofers.

Available in 42 and 60-in. widths, the Matchprint Inkjet Proofers (5542 and 5560) use six-color, 1200 x 600 dpi printing systems and can output a 4-up proof in less than eight minutes. Other features include an internal self-color-calibration process and an integrated heater for reliable image quality in high-production print modes. (Kodak Polychrome Graphics: www.kpgraphics.com)
