Kodak Updates Image Enhancement Plug-Ins

Kodak Professional Image Enhancement Plug-Ins have been updated to version 2.1 for Windows Vista, Macintosh Intel, and Adobe Photoshop CS3 compatibility. The suite of tools comprises the following:

* GEM plug-in: Reduces image noise and grain; reduces or removes JPEG-compression artifacts as well as in-line screening patterns from flatbed scanners.

* GEM Airbrush plug-in: Automatically smoothes skin surfaces without blurring or reducing fine detail; it can control image details at three levels-fine, medium, coarse.

* ROC plug-in: Restores, corrects, and balances color in images; removes color castes that have been caused by colored lighting or fading (can be used to correct the effects of tungsten and fluorescent lighting).

* SHO plug-in: Optimizes contrast and exposure in images; corrects exposure problem in images with backlit subjects and uneven flash illumination (as well as partial shade).

Each plug-in is sold separately at a price of $99.95.
