Kodak Restructures Business

Eastman Kodak Company (Kodak) reports that it will retain its Prosper inkjet business after discussions with prospective buyers and an intensive review of business operations. Kodak will reclassify Prosper as a continued operation within the Enterprise Inkjet Systems Division after classifying the business as an asset available for sale. The division includes Kodak’s Ultrastream technology, which the company expects to go to market in 2019.

Additionally, Kodak has named Randy Vandagriff president of the Enterprise division, effective May 1. Vandagriff brings 13 years of experience in Kodak’s digital print business and helped develop Ultrastream.

Kodak has also announced revisions to its reporting structure. The company has created the Advanced Materials and 3D Printing Technology (AM3D) division, which houses the Micro 3D printing business and Intellectual Property Solutions division. Kodak Chief Technical Officer Terry Taber serves as AM3D division’s president.
