Kernow Presents HydroSol Media

Kernow Coatings has launched its new HydroSol polyester media line for solvent, mild-solvent, and UV-curable printers. The new products in the HydroSol line include Taklite films as well as one-sided films. The Taklite products offer suction-cling properties, can be used for repositionable window displays, and leave no residue, even after a long hanging period, the company reports. Products include:

* The 255-gsm Solvent Matte White C095MWT offers a bright white front, anti-reflective matte surface, and is scratch- and water-resistance.

* The glass-clear Clear Taklite C141SGCT is a 255-gsm film with a high-gloss coating.

* Solvent Gloss Backlight Taklite C151SGBT is 260-gsm translucent gloss film; Solvent Matt Backlight Taklite C161SMBT is the 268-gsm matte version.

The one-side coated products feature an anti-static reverse side, and include:

* Matt White Film F155SMW is a 205-gsm white polyester film with a matte finish. Applications include scrolling banners and instant roll-up graphics.

* Matt Backlight F164SMB is a 220-gsm translucent polyester film that features a matte finish, is fast drying, and offers scuff- and scratch-resistance. The 265-gsm Gloss Backlit F200GB is the gloss version.

* Gloss Lightblock F155SGL is a 225-gsm gloss, no-curl roll-up graphic film that is stable, durable, and has a gray lightblock reverse side. Matt Lightblock F165SML is the matte 234-gsm version.

* Matt Backlit F215SMB is a 285-gsm matte film that is fast drying with scuff- and scratch-resistance.

* Stable, durable, no-curl roll-up graphic material, Gloss Lightblock F280SGL is a 390-gsm gloss film with a gray lightblock reverse side. Matt Lightblock F290SML is the 398-gsm matte version.

Other HydroSol products include:

* With printable coatings on both sides, Matt Lightstop Duo F195SMSD is a 274-gsm matte light-stopping film with no show-through.

* An alternative to photo-based papers, Solvent Polymeric Satin P190SPS is a white media with a satin printable coating on one side.

* Gloss Silver 119SGM is a 163-gsm polyester film with a gloss-printable coating on one side and a metallic mirror finish on the other. It is water-resistant and has an anti-static reverse.
