The International Sign Association (ISA, www.signs.org), with InfoTrends, has released its latest white paper on the benefits of innovative curing technologies, reviewing both UVcured and latex inkjet methods.

The white paper also includes case studies of two sign and print shops that have implemented these technologies, AlphaGraphics and Portland Vital Signs.

An AlphaGraphics franchise in Suwanee, Georgia, has been able to print acrylic Christmas ornaments using white inks, newsprint for movie props, movie backdrops, and exhibit graphics since installing a wide-format printer with cool cure inkjet technology. And Portland Vital Signs in Portland, Oregon, uses two printers with LED UV technology to manufacture signs and retail displays for clients nationwide, finding that LED technology’s lower heat allows for printing on thinner materials.

The research is free for ISA and Affiliated Association members; $24.95 for non-members. For more information, visit www.signs.org/curingtechnologies.
