(PRESS RELEASE) ALEXANDRIA, VA — Women Leading the Industry (WLI) will again shine the light on women in the sign, graphics and visual communications industry during ISA International Sign Expo 2023.

While WLI offers events throughout the year, ISA International Sign Expo offers the opportunity to meet in person for a session featuring education and networking. The event will be Thursday, April 13, at 9:00 AM PT.

“At last year’s event, a woman came up to me and asked if I was indeed president of ISA,” said Lori Anderson, ISA president and CEO. “With tears in her eyes, she told me just how much it meant to see a woman in this role. There’s something powerful about representation and there’s a comfort in finding that, while you may be one of a few women in your company, you are not alone in this industry. There’s a place for you here and WLI showcases that idea.”

This year’s WLI event will look at habits and behaviors that may stand in the way of a promotion or getting recognized for contributions. Attendees will leave with practical strategies and solutions to create new habits. The event is open to everyone. It is designed for women but men are encouraged to join in order to learn how to be powerful allies to their women colleagues The event also allows women and allies to make connections that can further their careers throughout the year.
